Congratulations to Dr. Huan-Jie Shao on receiving the Oceanographic Society’s Ocean Exploration Contribution Award
Our Center warmly congratulates Dr. Huan-Jie Shao on receiving the “Ocean Exploration Contribution Award” from the Oceanographic Society of the Republic of China. This award recognizes individuals who have made long-term contributions to marine exploration technology, instrument development, and oceanographic field operations, and who have significantly advanced marine research in Taiwan.
Over the years, Dr. Shao has devoted himself to marine exploration and research vessel technical support. He has demonstrated outstanding expertise and extensive experience in deep-sea mooring system design, integration of oceanographic instruments, shipboard exploration operations, and data processing. He has also played a major role in maintaining and improving the exploration systems aboard R/V New Ocean Researcher 3, enhancing instrument and computer facilities, and training technical personnel. His efforts have greatly contributed to the stability of research vessel operations and the advancement of Taiwan’s ocean observing capabilities.
This award not only recognizes Dr. Shao’s professionalism and dedication, but also reflects the academic community’s recognition of the efforts made by the New Ocean Researcher 3 Marine Instrument Center in advancing marine exploration technology and supporting ocean research. All members of our Center are deeply honored by this achievement and look forward to continuing to strengthen marine exploration technologies in support of oceanographic research both in Taiwan and internationally.
